JHMC Joins Fire Prevention Month Kickoff at Melvin Jones Grandstand

Baguio City – The Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP) launched Fire Prevention Month today, March 3, 2025, with a ceremony at the Melvin Jones Grandstand. The event was attended by various frontline services, stakeholders, and volunteers, including the John Hay Management Corporation (JHMC), all united in their commitment to promoting fire safety and awareness.
Araceli A. San Jose, Regional Director of the Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) in the Cordillera Administrative Region (CAR), underscored the significance of community support and involvement in fire prevention efforts. She highlighted the dedication of all agencies, including JHMC, in adhering to these principles for the preservation of life and property.
As the steward of Camp John Hay and its reservation area, JHMC is committed to creating a safe and secure environment not only for the community within it but also for the native plants and species found therein. This commitment underscores the importance of collaboration among all agencies to prevent fire-related incidents, as emphasized during this kickoff program.
