Camp John Hay, Baguio City- Following the mandates of Republic Act 7227, also known as the Bases Conversion and Development Act of 1992, the Bases Conversion and Development Authority (BCDA) is committed to building comfortable, decent, and safe communities in Clark, John Hay, Poro Point, and Bataan. To this end, the John Hay Management Corporation (JHMC), represented by its Chairman, Atty. Marlo Quadra held productive discussions with the Department of Human Settlements and Urban Development (DSHUD) on March 27, 2024. The meeting aimed to explore potential avenues for ensuring the provision of sufficient and economically accessible housing for the communities in these areas.
During the meeting, there was a lively exchange of ideas between JHMC and DSHUD representatives, with the main objective being to customize plans and initiatives to fit the unique housing requirements of JHMC staff members. It shows a dedication to creating a welcoming and comfortable work environment by taking a proactive approach to resolving the housing issues that most employees face.
If this collaboration moves forward, it will strengthen JHMC’s commitment to adhere to its corporate social responsibility projects, especially when it comes to affordable housing. This project highlights the corporation’s focus on promoting a work environment that is inclusive and supportive, in line with its values, and ensuring the welfare of its employees. END
