Health on Wheels: Mobile Medical Outreach in Barangays

Baguio City – The John Hay Management Corporation (JHMC), the Baguio City Health Services Office, and the Engineers Hill Health Center Primary Care Facility with the barangay health workers conducted a Community Health Caravan at barangays, Camp 7 and Poliwes on November 7, 2024. The caravan brought free health services to the residents including the nearby barangays through medical check-ups and medicines including TB, chest x-rays, and non-communicable disease screenings. The event also catered to bloodletting activity and the distribution of free medicines and vitamins to the beneficiaries.
The activity was a response to the requests of the Punong Barangays which also coincides with the goals and objectives of the participating agencies. Envisioned to address the needs of those seeking accessible medical support, the activity demonstrated the importance of instilling stewardship in taking proper care of one’s health and well-being
This particular initiative speaks volumes of the commitment of JHMC in implementing its corporate social responsibility programs to its stakeholders with services that can create an impact on the health and wellness of the community. END
