“I Am a Work in Progress”: JHMC Commits a Balanced Work and Personal Life to Staff
March 07, 2025 – The John Hay Management Corporation initiated its Health and Wellness Kick-Off Program, with the theme “I Am a Work in Progress,” aiming to enhance employees’ mental health and overall well-being. The activity serves as a brief respite from office duties, and it was designed to foster team collaboration and boost motivation among staff.
Mr. Joven B. Agtani of the Schools Division of Benguet and Mr. Gary B. Frondarina from the Baguio Gold Elementary School facilitated the activity, which started with an emotional expression activity through stroke painting. In their discussion, Agtani and Frondarina emphasized the significance of having a good, positive mental state at work, highlighting the importance of self-care practices, stress management, and open communication when establishing a balanced work and personal life.
Key activities of the program include “How Well Do You Know Your Workmate,” aimed at developing better working relationships among JHMC staff, and “The JHMC Survivors,” in which members showcased their unified teamwork and transformational, informative leadership skills. With these activities, JHMC staff demonstrated remarkable dedication and strong commitment to their program goals, serving as a model for organizational values.
The “I Am a Work in Progress” marks the beginning of the continuing commitment of JHMC to providing a healthy workplace and wellness support to their employees. Through this employee-sharing activity, the corporation strives to create an open corporate culture that promotes awareness accompanied by compassion.
