The Camp John Hay Sports Fest returned to action after more than three years with a kick off program at the CAP earlier today, September 21, 2023, by the John Hay Management Corporation (JHMC).
With the theme ‘Unleashing the Spirit of a Champion’, the activity aims to foster camaraderie and fair play among the locators, namely, Intercontinental Hotels Group, Chocolate de Batirol, Eagle Watch, The Manor, NorthCom, Northern Shores, and Filinvest. Including JHMC, these various teams are to contend in basketball and volleyball at the BBCCC gymnasium.
The sports festival will strengthen JHMC’s working relationship with locators by instilling teamwork and a sense of accomplishment in all competitors.
JHMC PCEO Allan R. Garcia, in his message, underlined the value of sports as a means to veer away from detrimental factors such as drugs, saying that engaging in sports has benefits that go beyond competition, such as bringing people together on a more personal level.
